Listed below are the types of stones we use most often. We have selected these stones based on versitility, availability and beauty.
Ironstone
Ironstone is our favourite stone material to work with. It seems to be our customers favorite as it matches well with any home decor and landscape due to its earthy tones. The Ironstone that we use is exclusive to River City and is the best we have ever come across. We have a great supplier from B.C. and has an abundance of it. You can do almost anything with ironstone including steps, retaining walls, sidewalks patios driveways and fire pits.
We used a large amount of this stone on a project in Bonnyville which was featured in BEST HOME MAGAZINE in the fall of 2009. Building from the ground up, using earth and mortor to stabilize and hold each piece together, makes each job unique. We use it as fasaudes as well when required on buildings and existing concrete walls.

Rundle rock
The name for this stone basically speaks for itself. From Mount Rundle in Banff National Park, it was used on the Banff Springs Hotel and the Bow River Bridge in the Town of Banff. It is now quarried from Canmore, Alberta. Rundle stone really gives a mountainous feel when used in a landscape. Due to the fact that being native to Alberta, gives our customers something to relate to. We used it widely over the years. It is very uniform in its demensions and the colors range from a quartzite white to a very deep grey. It works well when mixed with LIMESTONE boulders for building feature walls. Anything can be done with RUNDLE in the same aspect as our IRONESTONE.

Granite
Granite is a unique stone to work with in landscaping. It is very unforgiving, so cuts must be precise, especially when used on interiors. Granite can give a very modern and elegant feel when used outside. It can be used in many other ways as well; steps, custom saw cut pavers, planters, benches, showers, facades, and capping for a finishing touch (as seen here on a Tyndal stone fire pit).

Tyndal stone
Tyndall stone is native to Manitoba. As it is Blonde in color, it provides a definate contrast in a landscape. It almost has a precast look but with the natual stone appeal. It compliments other stone products very well as you can see.
